She was an active member of the West Point United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s group. Kay enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was so very proud of each of them and thoroughly enjoyed their activities. She also enjoyed day trips and was always up for an adventure.

The caskets were ordered and kept in a building constructed for that purpose near Dr. West's home on the west side of South Main Street and the south corner of present Brown Street. It was around 1915 that Roberts and West Funeral Home was established. Patrick was my younger brother and as we grew up we became close and he visited me in California and I went to see him . We always had a good time and laughed and cut up.
